for a PVE asura build, is wws + cancel more important or is a maxed lvl 10 ghost orb more important... this is assuming that I have maxed all my other skills that I would need
  2. BlanixTheBlood Perfect hair

Having more levels in ghost orb would be more benefitial late game. While WWS cancel is extremely useful pve/pvp utility.
  3. zellyen New Member

i can only get one or the other, or should i drop magic critical as a whole?
  4. BlanixTheBlood Perfect hair

If your comfortable with not having WWS cancel, theres nothing wrong with skipping it.
Ghost orb is a must max for pve and mag crit has had some happy customers. Though if you would really prefer having wws cancel, then take some out of mag crit.
  5. zellyen New Member

ill skip the wws cancel then, its b/c im used to pvp cancels that im asking this lol gotta kind change my playstyle in pve
  6. BlanixTheBlood Perfect hair

In pve its great for enemies you can't get to hold still, XXX is pretty easy to flail around with till you hit something, then cancel wws.

another question, why would I go SS if I most asura skills are fixed dmg?
  8. conewicci I dun goofed.

For the few that aren't, and also for the bonuses they give to skills sometimes.
  9. zellyen New Member

do those things outweigh shorter cooldown, less mp usage, and faster aspd in PVE?

if so, which SS do u recommend. i just bought a ignition sword but if im going to go back into katana, that may be wasted lol
  10. conewicci I dun goofed.

I dunno. Basically, if you spam Ghost Orb all the time, then SS definitely. If you use Ghost Orb every now and then, your choice. If you hate Ghost Orb, then... Katana, I guess. Or, if you want a cheaper weapon.

ASPD doesn't really matter that much in PvE really, though. Shorter cooldowns is nice, I suppose, but isn't that massive of a difference. Less MP usage is nice again, but SS will give you higher damage on those % skills (including awakening), so you could possibly end up saving more MP since things die faster.

    It's really just personal preference.

You can drop fire wave for now and get both i have both wws+cancel and max ghost orb+ ex passive and i must say its ideal against bosses.
  12. zellyen New Member

well i hit 60 on my PVP asura, i have 196 sp left over. what should i put it into?
    1. 3 lvls in flipside?
    2. magical crit (in PVP? lul)
    3. crescent wave? (its lvl 3 right now)
    4. guard to lvl 5?

    cant max flipside b/c i took TS+cancel
  13. conewicci I dun goofed.

    Guard.
  14. BlanixTheBlood Perfect hair

    Flipside.
  15. conewicci I dun goofed.

    That'll mean 9% only. :|
  16. BlanixTheBlood Perfect hair

Its more noticable than Max guard.
  17. conewicci I dun goofed.

http://wiki.dfo-world.com/index.php?title=Guard. Means 20% less Physical damage, and 10% less Magical damage, with a smaller knockback duration as well.

I'm not trying to like... make this into some big argument, but I'd say that IS worth it.
  18. BlanixTheBlood Perfect hair

If guarding was about absorbing less damage, then that would be valid. The smaller knockback is the only importance, and is extremely meager between level 3 and 5.
  19. Hervey Perfect Insanity

True, but at least then you'd receive better results every time. Whereas if you got level 3 Flipside you'd only have a 9% chance of it activating, which could happen 10 times on match or happen zero.
  20. BlanixTheBlood Perfect hair

9% is a lot. 1/10 times you get hit from behind it will happen. Thats going to win you more matches.

Also, for great justice, GSD has max flipside.
