DFO Render

Well, after my screw-up with the Champion render, I decided to be more careful and double/triple/quadruple/etc check the render against multiple backgrounds for errors. It really did help, as it revealed a retarded-ass red outline around Seria's belt that I had missed. Also, while fixing the Champion render, I taught myself a few methods in fixing miscolored and butt-ugly pixels.

And I guess repetition and constant practice really does speed up the process. This makes me happy.

Holy ****, where was this last week? Now this, I can work with!

Also, I agree with VariousGuy's previous statement. Screw you, Neople, and your artists for adding pentacles to a perfectly good image that make it f*cking difficult to render out. Though, the pentacles do look nice...
  2. VariousGuy Dead Guy

Yeah, the pentacles, fire, and ice stuff is pretty. Guess that's why the added it.

You can't really tell it's an elementalist without them.
  4. tails360 I have a CAPE.

Aren't you using that DFO/DNF Extractor thing to get the pictures from the files in the folder?
  5. gongfuren GongJiZhe

Yes, I do use that program. However, the in-game images are only the top halves of characters, not the full-body ones you see in those 22-sec promos. You can see them at the very end. For example, pay attention to the Berserker promo here: . The image at the end (00:18 or so) reveals much more of his sword than the in-game character art. This implies that, besides having more to the sides of these images, there is more below as well. Unfortunately, in the game's files, these bottom halves do not exist, probably to save room on screen when casting your character's awakening or some high-level cube move. The full, complete images only exist on Nexon's and Neople's servers. Probably. I seriously cannot find them anywhere on the Internet, though it could be that I am just incompetent.

Cutting out pixels isn't exactly expert tier Photoshopping.
  7. Hiroshi dat smirk

You could just add the pentacles again in the end...

Since someone posted already, DnF/Arad got most classes as background images - just remember that most subclasses don't even have a lower body part so that's the best thing you can get. Well, I guess you could ask Tomato to scan some stuff for you...
  8. Leviathan The Windy Gunner

Sadly I do. It's all over the Web in some of the videos. I wasn't impressed. They shot out Sand... ESPECIALLY with the zerker lolol
  9. Leviathan The Windy Gunner

Ahem... if you want... I could probably extract a big image of the Zerker from that vid in a high quality. Would you like that?
  10. gongfuren GongJiZhe

    Naw, bro, it's fine.

To people disappointed with my lack of recent activity, I really have been working on rendering, but I've been extremely busy with other stuff and haven't had much time to complete the renders. Please be patient some more.
  11. gongfuren GongJiZhe

Mein Gott...Has it really been two entire months since I last rendered something?

Nevertheless, after weeks of procrastinating, I have FINALLY finished this Archmage render! I'm sure my skills have gone a little rusty from not doing shit, so please take a look and criticize me for my carelessness in this particular production.

That hair and that skirt were DAMN hard to render. I'm sure that I have made a few mistakes around there. Let me know of any so I can terminate them. Permanently.
  12. geenareeno Not gReenareeno

Nice job man. The only thing I can be specific about is the white around her hair at the top right where it looks like a 'Z'.
  13. gongfuren GongJiZhe

    OK, fuck Photobucket...

There is no white part in the original image I have here on my computer. The uploaded version is shitty because of Photobucket's process of lowering image quality to store it on their servers. I actually noticed this before, but I never thought it would affect renders this badly. Does anyone have an image upload site that doesn't suck ass by ruining my work?
  14. Vibe 8===D~~ O:

i think flickr or deviantart could work.
  15. gongfuren GongJiZhe

OK, I have uploaded the render to ImageShack and replaced the image in my above post. There are no more shitty white pixels in the hair. Screw you, Photobucket. NOW please take a look at the render and criticize me.
  16. geenareeno Not gReenareeno

WOW. Literally everything I was going to say was fixed. Nice job, perfect as far as I can tell, that really made a differnce.
  17. gongfuren GongJiZhe

Behold! The result of approximately 3 hours render time!

    And the original!

    the rouge is awesome.
Can you see if you can do the monk one also?
  19. gongfuren GongJiZhe

Why, yes, I can certainly render out the monk. Unfortunately, this might take a while as I have lost access to my computer (I'm posting this with my iPhone). Therefore, immense patience is required.

I fucking hate my old-ass computer. At least it broke down during a week in which I don't really need it...
  20. Vibe 8===D~~ O:

you should save up and get a new one.
a pretty decent hp pavilion is only about 400.
